PUR foam floor insulation
Our insulation systems can effectively retain heat in the floor, providing a pleasant temperature in both winter and summer. The sensation of cold rising from the floor can be eliminated by using high-quality insulation. PUR foam floor insulation ideally fills the spaces between joists, and can also be applied between layers of concrete. In any of these configurations, it guarantees improved room comfort.
Why is PUR foam floor insulation a good choice?
- Durability of performance – the foam does not settle, does not shrink and does not lose its insulating properties.
- Excellent thermal insulation – very low thermal conductivity coefficient.
- Resistance to microorganisms – no susceptibility to mold and mildew growth.
What should you know about floor insulation?
A cold floor significantly affects the comfort of the home. Even if the house is well insulated, the lack of insulation at the floor level can cause unpleasant cooling of rooms. Insulating the floor with PUR foam is an effective way to eliminate this problem.
The floor transmits the temperature from the ground. In summer, the soil under the house reaches only 14-18°C, and in winter it drops to 8°C or even 5°C. Rigid layers – like concrete – easily conduct cold, which means that an uninsulated floor can be little warmer than ice. The solution is to use spray insulation for floors, using polyurethane foam with a very low thermal conductivity coefficient.
